The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.Job FunctionsThe Medical Assistant performs clinical duties. These duties include discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site.You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at Conviva Legacy Place located at: 18414 US Hwy 281 N, Suite 104, San Antonio, TX 78259.RequiredSuccessful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderHigh school diploma or equivalentCPR CertifiedPreferredPhlebotomy experienceMedication/vaccine administration experience1+ years MA experienceValue Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.Bilingual proficient in English and SpanishIf selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
