Seasonal College Intern

Overview Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund’s mission is “securing the future for Ohio’s police and firefighters.” Interns will contribute to this mission while gaining professional skills through training and work experience. Internship Assignments (2026) Finance : Analyze budget information, reconcile general ledger, manage accounts receivable and payable, maintain fixed assets, and prepare financial reports using Excel, Power BI, and Workiva. Information Technology : Support helpdesk activities, address phishing incidents, and review system access tickets. Investments : Conduct research, assist with investment software implementation projects, and provide support to the investment staff as needed. FLSA Status Non‑exempt Mission Contribution Seasonal work ties to the mission by applying classroom learning to essential duties, developing a pipeline of talent for future positions, and providing students with experience related to their career interests. Intern Responsibilities Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and professional behavior standards. Follow confidentiality policies and handle confidential information appropriately. Take personal and professional responsibility for actions and activities. Maintain professional relationships with employees, vendors, and members. Employ a courteous, enthusiastic, open‑minded, and critical approach to policies and procedures. Apply academic knowledge to the company setting. Participate in training and learning opportunities provided by the company. Submit work assignments punctually and consistently to the supervisor. Required Qualifications Be 18 years or older and currently enrolled in college, having completed freshman year at an accredited institution. Maintain strong academic performance (provide grades for most recent courses). Demonstrate strong reading, writing, and communication skills (read business periodicals, write reports and correspondence, present information, respond to questions).
