Program Director

Role Description

The Developmental Disabilities Division believes that our role in supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is to live meaningful lives as determined by the person. All people shall live a life with dignity conforming to each personal value system. Our philosophy is for the people we serve to be part of the community, to live fulfilling lives driven by their choices and to be as independent as possible. Our mission is to accomplish this with well-trained staff, access to quality health care, clinical support, and a clean and safe home.

The Program Director is an empathetic and compassionate leader who will focus on enhancing the quality of life of all the people supported in their respective program. They will:

• Lead their program and staff to continuously improve the quality of the programs.
• Ensure that regulatory and quality standards are met.
• Ensure that people supported are treated with dignity and respect.
• Develop strategies to educate and develop their team to achieve the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Provide transformational leadership that adapts to changes in people’s needs.
• Manage and lead their team, providing 24-hour support in emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with people with IDD.

Requirements

• AMAP; SCIP-R; CPR & First Aid is needed but not required. Note: S:US will provide on-the-job training for such certifications.
• Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office suite and Windows).
• Driver’s License preferred.
