Quality Technician
TruCut Incorporated is seeking a Quality Technician to support our Quality Assurance & Testing department in our precision cutting tool manufacturing facility. This hands-on role inspects drill bits and tooling using micrometers, gauges, and optical or CMM equipment to verify dimensions, finish, and performance. Responsibilities include following inspection plans, recording data, identifying nonconformances, and assisting with root cause investigations. The Quality Technician partners closely with production, supports ISO-based documentation, and promotes safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test precision cutting tools per drawings and specifications
- Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical/CMM equipment for measurements
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming material
- Follow established sampling and inspection plans
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues
- Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality concerns
- Adhere to ISO-based procedures and work instructions
- Help maintain calibration status of inspection tools and equipment
- Promote safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement on the production floor
