Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule

Monday – Friday, varying shifts of either 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM. No weekends, no call, and no holidays.

Requirements

• CT certified with PET/CT experience.
• ARRT – CT certification.
• NNMTCB – CT certification.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM).
• NYS License required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders and educate patients regarding procedures and imaging techniques.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures, ensuring quality image acquisition.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as necessary.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in compliance with relevant standards and protocols.
• Analyze imaging results and address any issues with image quality.
• Manage radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
