Software Engineering 1 to lead a team of talented infrastructure support engineers and ensure quality engineering support to programs, IRADs and new business pursuits in the Weapons Integration & Mission Solutions (WIMS) Business Unit. The location of this position is Beavercreek, OH or WPAFB, OH. The Software Engineering Manager will be working alongside fellow engineering professionals as we continue to provide engineering solutions for our customers. The position supports the engineering organization goals for providing people, processes and tools to meet the current and future needs of the programs and technologies within the sector portfolio. This role will help foster the establishment and maintenance of a world class Software and Digital Technologies organization.The selected candidate will provide functional leadership to the team in a strong engineering organization, collaborating with peers across multiple organizations. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. The candidate will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must.The selected candidate will also actively participate in engineering activities related to our Intelligence, Systems, Infrastructure, Tools & Enhancements (InSITE) Program as well as other relevant Northrop Grumman Defense Systems programs. The candidate will have a track record as an effective team member with excellent engineering skills.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering development projects or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering development projectsActive TS/SCI Security ClearanceUS CitizenshipExperience in managing the implementation and delivery of sophisticated engineering solutions in support of Government customersPrevious experience in people and/or technical leadership rolesExperience in one of the following infrastructure support areas:Experience working as a Database AdministratorExperience building databases, database recovery, disaster recovery, database backup and restoring.Experience upgrading and patching databasesExperience working as a System Administrator /Network AdministratorExperience administering/patching Linux and/or Windows systemsExperience in hardening practices, patch management, access‑control principles, and compliance requirementsExperience with backup and recovery services, managing file systems and disk spacePreferred Qualifications:Experience leading a team in the Engineering department of a matrix-like organizationExperience leading engineering teams using Agile processes and continuous integration / continuous deployment processes and toolsKnowledge of AFRL/RI contracting process and proceduresExperience working with National Air Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Combat Command (ACC) or Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).Experience working with multiple subcontractors concurrentlyBusiness development and/or proposal experiencePrimary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
