Position TitlePsychologist - Clinical PsychologistStrawberry Hill CampusPosition Summary / Career Interest:Psychologist - Clinical PsychologistThe Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Kansas Health System is seeking applicants for a Clinical Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and behavioral health services to adults with psychiatric and co-occurring medical conditions.The Clinical Psychologist will work directly with the adult inpatient psychiatry treatment team to assess and treat individuals receiving multidisciplinary care. Responsibilities include conducting assessments of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, delivering evidence-based psychotherapy and behavioral interventions, participating in daily treatment team rounds, and collaborating closely with clinical teams to coordinate patient care.The psychologist will join a 27-member Psychology Division within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Clinical practice will be based primarily at the Strawberry Hill Campus of The University of Kansas Health System, with additional outpatient responsibilities in the Department’s ambulatory clinic located within the Medical Pavilion on the University of Kansas Medical Center campus.The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring medical conditions and will bring expertise in contemporary approaches to psychological assessment, treatment, advocacy, and rehabilitation. Faculty are encouraged to participate in scholarly activities and collaborate with colleagues throughout the health system and university.As part of this position, there will be opportunities to supervise and train psychology graduate students, interns, postdoctoral fellows, medical students, and psychiatry residents.
