Pharmacy Floor Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician for the AM shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with every other weekend scheduled from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store as needed during low volume times.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that is not scanning properly.
• Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work at a moderate speed.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Possess and maintain a clear and active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or NHA.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
• Experience from a closed-door pharmacy is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work schedule is for the AM shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with every other weekend from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. The work environment involves sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day. You may need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. This role requires visual acuity to see and read fine prints, as well as close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. You must be able to hear normal voice sounds. A 10% shift differential will be added to base pay for shifts covering hours after 5:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burr Ridge, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
