Senior Transactional Tax Associate

Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Transactional Tax Associate with at least 5 years of experience to join their Corporate practice group in Los Angeles, CA, Boston, MA, or Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional tax matters, particularly in M&A transactions within the middle market private equity space. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy. Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts. Assist in managing complex cases and transactions from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely support and advice. Collaborate with other professionals to develop innovative transaction strategies. Participate in high-level legal activities such as court hearings and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents. Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills. Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work. Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and good business judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Experience in AmLaw 100 firm preferred. Education: JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admitted to practice in the state of application. Skills: Excellent organizational skills; conceptual thinking and persuasive communication; management skills.
