Registered Nurse - Float Pool

Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Float Pool on the night shift. The role supports Medical‑Surgical/Telemetry and Critical Care units across Wilson Medical Center and Binghamton General Hospital. The Float Pool RN will transition seamlessly between units, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources. Utilize pharmacology knowledge and administer medications safely according to UHS policy. Share responsibility for productivity and resource utilization, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services. Comply with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies. Actively participate in the Nursing Shared Governance Model, support the Unit Council, engage in improvement initiatives, and contribute to peer review practices. Engage in professional development, continuing nursing education, and complete all mandatory education requirements. Integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Current New York State Registered Nurse license. CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
