TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS Must-Have: - 2 years of experience preferred - 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule Description: This position requires working in the Emergency Room during night shifts. Travelers are welcome. Charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 is required. Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) is preferred. Experience in Trauma Level I and II is preferred. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, CPI (optional), NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC (optional). Skills needed include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Care for ventilated patients is essential. Central line care and management is required. Continuous IV sedation experience is preferred. Ability to manage cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) and interpret dysrhythmias is necessary. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) experience is needed. IV vasopressor experience is required. Ability to manage dysrhythmias is needed. Experience with near drowning, neuro-trauma, and non-trauma emergency cases is preferred. Pediatric emergency department experience is a plus. Phlebotomy skills are required. Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring is preferred. Skills in starting and maintaining IVs are necessary. Experience working in a STEMI and stroke certified facility is required. Knowledge of traumatic injuries, including amputation and brain injuries, is preferred. Triage experience is necessary. The facility provides support from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census numbers reflect a busy emergency room environment. Travelers will be expected to float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements. Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit upon arrival.
