Senior Analyst, Multi-housing Capital Markets Research – Central RegionThe Senior Analyst will join JLL's capital markets research team, partnering with multi-housing / Living sector business stakeholders to analyze Central U.S. (Texas and Midwest) capital markets liquidity and pricing trends, capital formation trends, and themes related to the multi-housing / Living sector and Living alternative sectors. The Senior Analyst will report to the Director, Capital Markets Research, and will collaborate with various stakeholders across different lines and/or alternative property sectors.The Senior Analyst will work in collaboration with a cross-functional team of property sector and business line researchers, each specializing in different commercial real estate property sectors and investment areas. This position will lead projects and initiatives that span Central U.S. multi-housing / Living capital markets and Living alternatives, including creating and updating capital markets research presentations, content and analysis on the overall investment market, liquidity and pricing trends, and economic themes.JLL Research consists of 570+ full-time professionals globally, working as the largest research group in the real estate industry and among the best of any worldwide professional services firm. We tell the real estate story, define the market, and inspire action.What this job involvesServe as lead research point of contact for JLL’s Texas and Midwest multi-housing leaders and regional multi-housing teams, partnering on strategic pitches and client presentationsActively participate in pitch preparation and content creation for producers to leverage in deal execution, working with local market researchers to demonstrate JLL’s superior market knowledgeProactively partner with the research team and capital markets leaders on the development of ad hoc data analysis and bespoke research that exemplifies JLL’s industry-leading thought leadershipWork across business lines and research functions on fee-based client advisory projects, leveraging internal and 3rd party data sources to create research that will be used by clients to take to investment committees and execute on business plansMonitor development pipelines, track major transactions, and become an expert on the local economy, job and industry makeup, and demographics to tell a compelling story about Texas and Midwest marketsCollect and disseminate monthly or quarterly "talking points" and research slide decks related to the Living sector, working in conjunction with sector co-leadsDive into real-time economic, financial and capital markets-related topics to build data and market narrative on ad hoc topics that emerge throughout the yearWork with designated Living Alternatives sector leads, discuss strategic research objectives and execute on bespoke research for use in pitches and presentationsEstablish and regularly update national deck for designated Living Alternatives sector.Desired skills and experience for this jobBachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or related field desiredTwo to three years in commercial real estate, business analysis, research, or related fieldWorking knowledge of commercial real estate dynamics, economic fundamentals, and financial marketsStrong organizational, analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilityExcellent command of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)Ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize and manage work in a dynamic environment with senior stakeholdersStrong quantitative skillset with ability to identify new insights and trends through data analyticsCollaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic teamEffective written and oral communication skillsA desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environmentThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
