Production Specialist

Production Specialists work under direct supervision. They will apply basic and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment appropriate to their area of specialization. Use of specialized subject matter knowledge required. Key responsibilities include mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping and stocking of products, ensuring quality control of all product before sending to sales floor, maintaining sanitation in the department, maintaining organization of back storage, freezer, walk-in and production area, reading and executing daily production list, calculating figures and amounts such as weights, discounts, percentages and volumes, providing customer service as required, assisting in monitoring the quality of goods and monitors shrink, ordering and receiving products and supplies, maintaining transfer records, prepping, wrapping, pricing, selling, and stocking products continuously, demos, or preparing customer samples for self-serve, providing superlative customer service, and using suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.

Qualifications include 2-5 years of related experience, experience with commercial production preferred, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to handle stressful situations, good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to inform customers about ingredients. Physical demands include lifting and carrying moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.), bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work overnight and flexible schedules (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
