Bridget Killen from Robert Half is partnering with an agriculture-focused organization in Lowell, Oregon. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, and delivering reliable reporting that helps guide business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to work across teams to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage recurring and complex journal entries with thorough supporting documentation to maintain accurate financial statements.

• Oversee assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and results are fully supported.

• Reconcile designated balance sheet and income statement accounts, prepare detailed analyses, and resolve unusual items or fluctuations.

• Produce reporting schedules, financial packages, and management summaries that support internal leadership, statutory needs, and audit requirements.

• Handle accounting activities related to fixed assets, accruals, prepaid balances, inventory, and standard costing with a high level of accuracy.

• Research accounting matters, interpret relevant guidance, and help apply company policies and internal control expectations in day-to-day work.

• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders by organizing schedules, documentation, and responses for assigned accounting areas.

• Identify reporting risks, process weaknesses, and efficiency opportunities, then contribute to improvements in automation, workflows, and data quality.

• Take part in system upgrades, testing, and validation efforts while helping preserve the integrity of accounting data and processes.

• Collaborate with accounting leadership, FP& A, controllers, and operational teams to provide financial insight, training, and process support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and supporting full-cycle close activities.
• Strong background in account reconciliations, financial analysis, and variance investigation.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP platform.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and review schedules, analyses, and reporting support.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and audit support practices.
• Ability to communicate accounting issues and recommendations clearly to both finance and operational stakeholders.
• High level of discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidential financial information.
