Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a Med Surg Tele unit with geriatrics and behavioral concerns
- Monitor telemetry and vital signs; identify and respond to dysrhythmias and other acute events
- Administer medications and IV therapies per orders; monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects
- Collaborate with CNAs and the broader healthcare team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective care transitions
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
- Participate in unit-based on-boarding requirements and complete required tests per policy

Requirements
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS
- Onboarding tests: complete dysrhythmia and medication proficiency assessments; tests administered via Zoom-based proctoring prior to assignment; one attempt allowed; minimum passing score 85%
- Onboarding timing: RN testers must participate within 48 hours of offer
- Shift readiness: ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the unit
- Ability to work in a Med Surg Tele setting with geriatric patients who may have dementia, confusion, or behavioral disturbances
