Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby

Postpartum RN Nursing

Schedule: Shift: Nights - Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week - Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks OR every 3rd weekend

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in Kansas or Compact state
• BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications required at time of submission
• 2 years of experience preferred (not required)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care in the postpartum, OB triage, and labor & delivery settings.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including high-risk obstetrics.
• Manage labor and delivery processes, including C-section assistance and recovery.
• Conduct newborn assessments and support neonatal resuscitation.
• Offer lactation and breastfeeding support to new mothers.
• Educate parents on nursery care and postpartum recovery.

Compliance / Notes:

• Return-to-office/location must be listed at time of submittal.
• Travelers are expected to float to like units as needed.
• Completion of onsite modules required (average 46 hours).
