Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist in Orthopedics

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at the Human Touch Rehab Center in Paramus, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will be working in our Orthopedic Outpatient Office, where you will focus on delivering high-quality, personalized care to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions. Work Environment

Our Paramus facility provides a welcoming and state-of-the-art environment for both our staff and patients. As a therapist, you will directly interact with patients in a comfortable outpatient setting that features modern equipment and therapeutic tools. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a stable routine that balances professional responsibilities with personal life. You can expect to manage a patient load of approximately two patients per hour, allowing for thorough assessments and treatment sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical limitations and needs, utilizing various diagnostic methods.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that incorporate a wide range of techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, designed to facilitate recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, encouraging active participation in their own recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create cohesive treatment strategies that address the complexities of each patient's condition.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on treating patients with various orthopedic issues, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse demographic, from active athletes seeking to return to their sports to elderly patients recovering from hip or knee replacements. Understanding each patient's unique challenges and goals is integral to delivering exceptional care and facilitating effective recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required for this position.
• An active physical therapist license in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is necessary to ensure familiarity with a variety of conditions and treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is highly preferred.
• Experience in developing and implementing treatment protocols for a diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits
