Opportunity to develop recruiting, communication, and talent acquisition skills.Driver Recruiter Requirements & QualificationsMust HavesStrong verbal and written communication skillsComfortable communicating with candidates by phoneSelf-motivated and driven to achieve established goalsPositive, enthusiastic, and professional attitudeStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of peopleOrganized and able to manage multiple candidates and tasks at the same timeStrong attention to detailAbility to learn new systems, processes, and industry requirements quicklyComfortable working in a goal-oriented environmentAbility to work effectively with team members and internal departmentsIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office or ability to quickly learn applicable computer systemsWillingness to learn the recruiting process and transportation industryDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesRecruit professional drivers for a transportation fleet and/or students for a CDL-A training programConduct daily recruiting calls and outreach to prospective candidatesRespond promptly to inbound inquiries from individuals interested in career opportunitiesReview employment applications and conduct initial telephone screensBuild relationships with candidates and keep them engaged throughout the hiring processMaintain accurate and timely candidate information in the recruiting databaseGuide candidates through the application, screening, and onboarding processSchedule candidates for required pre-employment drug screens and physical examinationsCoordinate onboarding and/or CDL school arrival processes with approved candidatesCommunicate with internal Student, Safety, and other departments to keep candidates moving through the processFollow established documentation procedures and requirements related to DOT complianceWork toward weekly and quarterly recruiting goalsParticipate in recruiting initiatives, campaigns, and special projects as assignedDriver Recruiter Preferred Background & SkillsNo prior recruiting or transportation experience is required. The following backgrounds are a plus:Previous recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experienceCustomer service experienceInside sales or business development experienceCall center or high-volume telephone experienceHospitality, retail, or other customer-facing experienceExperience working toward sales, hiring, production, or performance goalsTransportation, trucking, logistics, or motor carrier experienceCDL or transportation industry knowledgeExperience using applicant tracking systems, CRM systems, or recruiting databasesExperience with outbound calling or lead generationPrevious experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
