This position is located at 141 Storage Road, Rocky Mount, NC.NC DHHS Division of Public Health – Rocky Mount Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CSDA) is seeking a full- time Educational Diagnostician to provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program.The selected candidate will be needed to assist with meeting timelines.Management PreferencesGeneral knowledge of classroom techniques and academic activities at each educational level.Considerable knowledge of educational measurements for children with special learning problems.Considerable knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of psychology as applied to children with special problems.Ability to exercise good judgment in interpreting tests and appraising children's activities thus making sound recommendations and decisions.Ability to prepare concise narrative summaries on diagnostic findings and to interpret findings to staff planning conferences.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, as well as professionals.Minimum Education and ExperienceSome state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
