Overview Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Patrol in Piscataway, NJ. This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.93 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and document observations according to location guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property issues that could affect daily operations. Support Allied Universal and location management with routine reports, communication logs, and follow‑up related to security‑related events, visitor activity, and/or policy concerns. Minimum Requirements A guard card or license is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
