Safety Manager

Taurus Staffing is looking for a Safety Manager in the Calvert, AL area. Need to have OSHA 30 certification. Day and Night Shifts available.Responsibilities:Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulationsConduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actionsInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for preventionMaintain accurate records of safety incidents, including detailed reports and documentationProvide training and education to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Collaborate with management and department heads to develop safety goals and objectivesMonitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with occupational health standardsStay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulationsManage workers' compensation claims process, including reporting, investigation, and resolutionOversee the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to test effectivenessQualifications:Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification preferredProven experience in developing and implementing safety programs in an industrial settingStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA requirementsExcellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectivelyFamiliarity with workers' compensation laws and processesFirst aid/CPR certification is a plusAbility to develop and deliver effective safety training programsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsPer Diem is availableIf interested please call 865-263-9110You should be proficient in:Industrial ConstructionWorkplace Safety & EHS Management #J-18808-Ljbffr
