Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Two Rivers, Wisconsin. This position involves staffing an emergency department with a 12-bed unit, including hallway beds, at a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The nurse will provide care for a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, predominantly adults. The shift is scheduled for nights, with operational demands requiring adaptability to patient acuity and unit flow.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licenses and certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and de-escalation training (MOAB or CPI). Two years of relevant experience in an emergency room setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, drips, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Support on the Unit: CNA support (ratio 1:12), resource RN, in-house respiratory therapists 24/7, hospitalist coverage 24/7, bedside and nursing station telemetry (no tele tech).
• Charting System/Equipment: Epic electronic medical record, GE monitors, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication system.
• Orientation: One shift on the unit to learn workflow.
• Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation. Time off requests up to 7 days are subject to staffing needs and approval. No on-call requirement.
• Other Notes: Scrub color is flexible. Parking is free and onsite.
