Level 2 Help Desk Technician (MSP Experience Required)

Level 2 Help Desk TechnicianWe are a growing Managed Services Provider in the northwest suburbs of Chicago seeking a Level 2 Help Desk Technician with Managed Services Provider (MSP) experience. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 to $70,000 plus a $500 monthly bonus, with strong potential for career advancement. The first 90 days are fully onsite in Palatine, followed by a hybrid schedule with a mix of remote work and local client visits.This role is ideal for a well-rounded technician who enjoys hands-on technical work, learning new systems, and working with a tight-knit MSP team. You'll support a wide range of client environments, troubleshoot escalated service requests, and handle everything from provisioning and onboarding to desktop, server, and basic network troubleshooting.Responsibilities:Resolve Level 2 service tickets via phone, email, or remote accessTroubleshoot hardware, software, network, and cloud-related issuesProvision new users, configure devices, and assist with onboardingAdminister and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365Perform patching, antivirus installs, and routine updatesUse RMM and PSA tools to monitor client systems and manage support ticketsPrioritize issues based on service level agreements (SLAs)Conduct onsite support visits throughout the Chicagoland areaTechnology You'll Use:Windows 10/11, macOSWindows Server (2008–2022)Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePointActive Directory, DNS, DHCPKaseya (or similar RMM tools)Autotask (or similar PSA systems)Basic networking: routers, switches, firewallsRequirements:Minimum 1 year of experience at an MSPStrong skills with Windows OS, Office 365, and Active DirectorySolid understanding of desktop, server, and basic networking supportExperience using RMM and PSA tools in a client-facing roleValid driver's license and reliable transportationA+ or Network+ certification preferredCompensation and Benefits:Base salary: $60,000 – $70,000$500 monthly performance bonusHealth, dental, and vision insuranceMileage reimbursement for client visitsFlexible work schedule and hybrid structure after 90 daysOngoing training and support from a collaborative MSP teamClear path for professional growth and advancement
