Sr. Cloud Business Analyst

Position Product Development Engineer – Infectious Diseases Division, Abbott Diagnostics, San Diego, CA Responsibilities Participate in the development of new and existing products, including system level design documentation and requirements specification. Assist with finding solutions to product development problems of limited scope. Develop and follow specialized procedures in executing experiments, evaluating and documenting results. Establish and maintain working relationships internally and externally. Work on product definition, system architecture, requirements writing and management, requirements analysis, risk analysis, hazard analysis, product testing and evaluation, System V & V, and/or design control documentation. Develop new products/systems, optimize design processes, and conduct system level characterization/verification of complex systems. Collect, organize, analyze, and document test results. Integrate analytical and performance elements with software, hardware, and electronics system components. Communicate effectively within cross-functional development teams. Utilize and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system to prevent product introduction delays and quality issues. Required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's of Science degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or MS degree plus equivalent experience. Solid knowledge of general engineering/science principles and laboratory skills. Strong knowledge of defined development processes consistent with ISO and FDA design control standards. Knowledge of contemporary design control and risk management practices. Understanding of electro‑mechanical, software, mathematical, chemical, or biochemical processes operative in diagnostic systems. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Abbott or a similar company in products related to diagnostics; at least 3 months. At least 3 years of experience in Azure DevOps. At least 4 years of experience in Power BI. At least 3 years of experience in Sprint and Scrum Processes. Cloud Practitioner Certificate. Databricks Fundamentals Certificate. Data warehouse Certificates. At least 3 years of experience building semantic models in Power BI. At least 3 years of experience performance tuning for Power BI models. Job Details Work Shift: Standard Travel: Yes, 5% of the time Medical Surveillance: No Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day), Keyboard use (≥50% of the workday).
