Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery setting to support mothers through childbirth. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and deliver evidence-based interventions throughout labor and postpartum stages. Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions to identify any signs of complications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care practices.
- Assist during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Advocate for patient needs and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in status.
- Valid Registered Nurse license with current state licensure.
- Proven experience in labor and delivery, maternity, or women's health nursing.
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong assessment skills and ability to handle high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities.
- BLS certification required.
