Job Details: We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic Insurance Defense team. This role is a crucial part of our legal department, providing comprehensive support to our attorneys in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, a deep understanding of the insurance industry, and a passion for detail-oriented work. Responsibilities: As an Insurance Defense Paralegal, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis on various insurance defense matters.
• Reviewing and summarizing medical records, depositions, and other case-related documents.
• Coordinating and managing timelines for various cases, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Organizing and maintaining case files, including managing electronic databases and physical records.
• Assisting with trial preparation, including the creation of exhibits, witness preparation, and coordination of logistics.
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts as necessary.
• Providing administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and drafting correspondence.

Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably within a high volume insurance defense setting.
• A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent legal studies. (Nice to have)
• Extensive experience in litigation support, including a thorough understanding of the litigation process and legal terminology.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and databases, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, clients, and court personnel.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus.
