Analyst, DTC Strategy

Disney Entertainment's Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The DTC Strategy team supports DTC and Disney leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide market intelligence, identify opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. The team's activities and accomplishments have contributed to the growth and success of the streaming business.

Examples of work the group has led recently include:

• Developing novel growth strategies for Disney+ and Hulu (e.g., product innovation and feature prioritization, content investment, tiering strategy, international, etc.)
• Assessing partnership and M&A opportunities
• Assessing opportunities for growth acceleration across international markets
• Benchmarking marketplace and competitor trends
• Creating executive presentations for the Board of Directors and the investor community (e.g., earnings call preparations, Investor Day)

Responsibilities:

• Build complex financial models to support decision-making across new business development and growth initiatives
• Analyze internal and external data to extract actionable business insights
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends
• Develop executive-level presentations to communicate strategic recommendations to streaming and broader Disney leadership

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience
• 2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting firm, or a corporate strategy/development group
• Advanced technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling
• Analytical mindset and ability to structure ambiguous problems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Passion for streaming entertainment and technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in media & entertainment

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $87,100.00 - $116,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
