Job Details We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent position, providing you the opportunity to utilize and refine your skills in treatment planning, plan of care development, and therapeutic activities. You will be responsible for providing top-tier care to our patients, educating both them and their caregivers, and ensuring their safety and comfort. This role requires a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities: 1. Developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
2. Creating and implementing detailed plans of care, including therapeutic activities and functional task training.
3. Providing education and support to patients and caregivers to enhance understanding and participation in the treatment process.
4. Prioritizing safety awareness and fall risk reduction in all therapeutic activities.
5. Conducting discharge planning and recommending appropriate durable medical equipment to support patient needs post-discharge.
6. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
7. Ensuring all patient information is handled with utmost confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA compliance guidelines.
8. Continually assessing and revising treatment plans as necessary, based on patient progress and feedback. Qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
2. A current and valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
4. Proficiency in treatment planning, plan of care development, and therapeutic activities.
5. Demonstrated experience with patient and caregiver education, safety awareness, and fall risk reduction.
6. Familiarity with discharge planning and durable medical equipment.
7. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
8. A strong understanding and adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance guidelines.
9. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
