Nurse Case Reviewer / Analyst

Job Overview ShimSpine is looking for a Nurse Reviewer / Analyst to use our patented software to analyze and develop case summaries for numerous clients. Candidates should have a foundation in nursing and specialty experience, with a strong grasp of medical terminology, treatments, and standards of care. Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to review medical and legal documentation/records associated with the development of medical chronology to provide written case summaries and analysis. Review, extract, and analyze complex medical data. Evaluate the appropriateness of treatments provided. Assist with refining and improving processes associated with reviewing cases. Audit work of other team members. Collaborate with other team members, physicians, and clients to develop a high-quality work product. Requirements and Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in nursing with an active nursing license. Consistently meet deadlines and produce high-quality work. Proficiency with computing, Microsoft Word, Google Workspace, and other software programs; excellent typing skills. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and common procedures/surgeries. Attention to detail and accuracy. Team player with strong communication skills and commitment to quality improvement. Excellent time management skills. Willingness to continually learn new medical knowledge and be a strong leader. Ability to stand/sit for long durations daily. Prior experience in ER, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, and/or Pain Management. Prior experience with utilization review, developing medical chronologies, and/or legal experience is a plus.
