This is primarily a client service/front desk position, but because we are a small, collaborative team, there will be times when you may also assist with patient care and support the medical team.Previous veterinary experience and the ability to assist with patients are preferred, but your primary focus will be creating an exceptional experience for our clients—from the first phone call through the end of their visit.We are looking for someone who values empathy first, teamwork over position, and understands that great communication is just as important as great medicine.Who We AreSheridan Pet Care is a locally owned and intentionally independent small animal practice devoted to caring for dogs and cats through every stage of life. You will help create a welcoming, organized, and positive experience for every client who interacts with Sheridan Pet Care.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Welcoming clients and patients to the practiceAnswering phones and responding to client texts and messagesScheduling and coordinating appointmentsHelping clients navigate their visits with warmth and clear communicationMaintaining accurate client and patient informationSupporting efficient communication between clients and the medical teamKeeping the reception area organized and welcomingBecause we are a small team, flexibility is important. There may be times when you are asked to step away from the front desk and help our technicians and doctors with basic veterinary assisting duties. Depending on your experience and comfort level, this could include patient handling and restraint, preparing exam rooms, helping with laboratory tasks, maintaining treatment areas, and other general patient-care support.Veterinary assisting will be a secondary part of this position—the CSR role will remain your primary focus.Who You AreWe hire for character, emotional intelligence, and coachability.
