Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of women’s health, including thorough medical history evaluations and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of women's health conditions such as reproductive health disorders, gynecological infections, menstrual irregularities, and menopausal symptoms.
• Provide family planning services, including extensive contraceptive counseling, prescribing appropriate methods, and educating patients on reproductive health.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears and clinical breast exams, contributing to early detection and preventative care.
• Manage prenatal care for expecting mothers, which includes conducting regular prenatal visits, monitoring fetal development, and providing education on pregnancy and childbirth.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care during the pregnancy journey.
• Offer counseling on sexual and reproductive health, including STD prevention strategies, fertility awareness education, and preconception care guidance.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds and laboratory tests, developing treatment plans tailored to patients' results.
• Prescribe medications with careful consideration to patients’ needs, provide follow-up care, and monitor treatment efficacy.
• Educate patients about pertinent women's health topics, self-care strategies, and preventive health measures.
• Accurately document all patient interactions in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards and outcomes.
• Continuously stay informed about the latest advancements in women's health to incorporate best practices into patient care.

This role focuses primarily on women of all ages, including adolescents, women of reproductive age, and menopausal women. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Demonstrable clinical experience in women’s health, preferably within a primary care or OB/GYN setting.
• Extensive knowledge of women’s health topics, including gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and management of menopausal symptoms.
• Proficient in conducting gynecological exams and utilizing EHR systems for efficient patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working in women’s healthcare is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
