We're looking for a dependable, hands‑on Facilities Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our members, staff, volunteers, and guests. What You'll Do Perform daily facility inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns Complete general maintenance and repairs, including painting, minor repairs, furniture moving, and equipment setup Assist with cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility, including locker rooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces Set up and break down rooms for programs, meetings, rentals, and special events Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment Assist with snow removal, salting, and seasonal exterior maintenance Support vendors and contractors during maintenance and improvement projects Maintain organized storage areas, tools, and supplies Complete work orders and document completed tasks Follow all YMCA safety procedures and help maintain a safe environment for everyone Qualifications Previous experience in facilities maintenance, custodial services, building maintenance, or groundskeeping Strong customer service and communication skills Basic knowledge of hand tools, cleaning equipment, and safe work practices Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Basic computer skills for work order management Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events as needed Physical Requirements Lift up to 25 pounds safely Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, reach, and perform repetitive movements Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Perform snow removal and other seasonal maintenance duties Why Join the YMCA?
