Industrial Controls Electrician (Power & Low-Voltage Systems)

OpSource is partnering with an established industrial construction company in Spartanburg, SC to add a seasoned electrician to their team. You’ll own the electrical build-out and upkeep that keeps production moving across the Upstate of South Carolina.

A day in the role

You start first shift with a safety huddle and a review of drawings. From there, you’ll map conduit runs, pull and terminate conductors, and bring new equipment to life. Mid-morning, you’re testing continuity and voltage, then troubleshooting a stubborn low-voltage control loop. After lunch, it’s preventive work on switchgear and transformers, verifying readings on switchboard meters. You wrap by inspecting the work area, documenting results, and ensuring tools are accounted for.

Spartanburg, SC — projects across the Upstate of South Carolina.

Compensation & schedule

• Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift
• Overtime: As required

What you’ll do

• Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code to plan equipment layouts and installations.
• Install, inspect, replace, and repair wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and related components.
• Perform tests for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance on equipment and components.
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, and switchboard metering.
• Troubleshoot, service, and repair electrical and low-voltage control systems and associated devices.
• Maintain a safe jobsite by following company guidelines and OSHA requirements; promptly report any policy or safety violations to your supervisor.
• Safeguard and maintain company tools; ensure job sites are cleaned and inspected upon completion.
• Partner with building principals and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to spec.

What you’ll bring

• 3–5 years of industrial experience as a Journeyman Electrician handling installation and maintenance in plant environments.
• Proficiency bending conduit.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on electrical equipment and power distribution; adept at reading blueprints/specifications.
• Ability to develop accurate material lists.
• Comfort working at heights.
• Calm under pressure with the ability to deliver on time-sensitive tasks.
