Job Title: 1:1 School Nurse Pay Range: $35-55/hour Job Description: 1:1 School Nurse (RN or LPN) | Middle School | Seattle, WA | 2026–2027 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care at a middle school in Seattle, Washington. This position will begin during the 2026–2027 school year and is expected to continue in future school years. Position Highlights Location: Seattle, WA Position: 1:1 School Nurse, RN or LPN Start Date: September 2, 2026 Setting: In-person, middle school Grade Level: Sixth grade Schedule: Monday–Friday, based on the school calendar Estimated Weekly Hours: Approximately 33 per week Student Care Details Provide one-on-one nursing support throughout the school day Monitor and support the student’s tracheostomy needs Perform suctioning as required Maintain a safe and supportive environment that allows the student to participate fully in the school day Communicate with the student’s family, school staff, and healthcare team as needed Complete required nursing documentation and follow the student’s individualized healthcare plan Other duties as assigned Qualifications Current Washington State RN or LPN license, or willingness to obtain one Experience with tracheostomy care and suctioning Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and the student’s family Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, but Spanish fluency is not required Benefits* Competitive compensation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid sick leave Dedicated recruiter and ongoing support throughout the assignment Therapist- and clinician-founded company culture *Benefits are available to eligible full-time employees and are subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
