Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations Assistant in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to support access control, inspect items and personnel in accordance with site procedures, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $17.22 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control procedures. Inspect identification, credentials, packages, and/or personal items as required by site policies, escalating discrepancies or prohibited items to site leadership. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, facility entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred. X-ray screening experience is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
