Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position in the Renton, WA area is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in telespeech, teletherapy, and school-based settings. This role is specifically designed to cover a Leave of Absence (LOA), providing essential therapy services through virtual platforms to students requiring speech and language support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services via teletherapy to students in a school environment
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to remote learning contexts
- Collaborating with educators and caregivers to support student progress and ensure effective communication strategies
- Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records in compliance with educational and clinical requirements
- Adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines related to teletherapy and school services
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience in teletherapy and telespeech services, especially within educational settings
- Familiarity with school-based speech and language therapy protocols and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes
- Strong technology skills and comfort with virtual therapy platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel
