At Smart Family of Cooling Products, our customers rely on stable, efficient chilling to power production and protect quality. As an Industrial Refrigeration Chiller Systems Technician, you will be the hands-on expert ensuring uptime, performance, and safety.

Your impact

• Own scheduled maintenance that prevents downtime and maximizes system life.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on installed chiller equipment with precision and speed.
• Execute component-level repairs and replacements to restore reliability.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems, including: refrigerant handling, instrumentation, control valves, motors, motor controls, motor switch gear, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), soft-starts, pumps, exchangers, filter, and refrigeration controllers.
• Model safe work practices and comply with company and industry safety standards.
• Position may require working up to 15% (no more than 300 hours) overtime throughout the year, as directed by the client and/or upper management.
• Take on additional assignments as needed.

Expertise you bring

• Calm, effective work style in fast-paced and occasionally stressful situations.
• Strong analytical mindset and troubleshooting ability.
• Extensive knowledge of chiller systems and associated equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Skill using thermometers, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic instruments to evaluate equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret operation and repair manuals.
• Consistent follow-through on instructions and procedures.
• Exceptional mechanical aptitude.
• Professional communication skills for customer interactions.

Background preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Three years of related experience preferred.

Work environment and physical expectations

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required.
• Spend prolonged periods in a stationary position when needed.
• Climb ladders to access equipment.
• Transport up to 50 pounds at a time.
