Systems Safety Engineer Location: Tucson, AZ Job ID: #72850 Pay Range: $75-88 ph (W2) Duration: 12 mos As a Senior System Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Leading one or more MIL STD 882E compliant system safety programs Performing MIL STD 882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, or customer's approved equivalent Coordinating with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authorities Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. Collaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds Key Responsibilities will include: Performing System Safety Program, Hazard analyses or Design analyses Briefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is an equal opportunity employer.
