Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

SCHEDULE

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36

REQUIREMENTS
- Current Washington State RN Licensure.
- HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS (AHA Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.
- PALS (AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification obtained within 12 months of hire and renewed every 4 years.
- Moderate sedation training to be completed within 12 months of hire and annually thereafter.
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred.
- Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct assessments and data collection focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Implement care following predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans.
- Identify patient and significant other learning needs and implement education accordingly.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records or paper processes.
- Ensure appropriate delegation and supervision of patient care activities.
- Engage in professional development through seminars, workshops, and affiliations to stay current in nursing practices.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Continuing education requirements include 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training.
