Faculty Physician – Rheumatology (Assistant or Associate Professor – Academic or Master Clinical Track)

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist to join the Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, available on either the Academic or Master Clinician Track.

• Provide clinical care in both Minneapolis and Maple Grove, MN, focusing on patients with rheumatological and autoimmune conditions in outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation services.

• Call responsibilities will be shared among faculty members based on clinical full-time equivalent (FTE).

• The role will consist of 85% clinical duties and 15% academic responsibilities.

• Academic faculty members are expected to engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, oversee fellow continuity clinics, and participate in educational sessions and weekly citywide conferences.

• All faculty are encouraged to pursue annual publications and take part in regular meetings within the Division and Department.

• This is a full-time position.

The Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases is dedicated to finding cures for a variety of immunological and inflammatory disorders that impact numerous organ systems. While the origins of many of these conditions remain unclear, they often share immunopathological features that result in uncontrolled inflammation, pain, disability, and tissue damage. Ongoing research—spanning basic, translational, and clinical domains—aims to deepen our understanding of systemic autoimmunity, which contributes to conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome, and polymyositis/dermatomyositis, along with specific autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis and diabetes mellitus. Clinicians in this division also provide inpatient and outpatient rheumatology consultations at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview and Fairview Maple Grove sites. Furthermore, educators in this division are committed to training the next generation of biomedical researchers, rheumatology specialists, and professors to address the evolving healthcare demands of the 21st century.

• Completion of an accredited ACGME internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training program.

• Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible/certified in rheumatology.

• Possession or ability to obtain a medical license and DEA registration in the State of Minnesota, meeting the necessary criteria for credentialing and privileges.

• Eligibility to receive work authorization in the United States from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status in accordance with VISA requirements.

This position is jointly employed by our organization and the University. The total salary is competitive and aligned with AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical compensation, reflective of clinical responsibilities, is provided through our organization. The base salary range for the clinical component of this role is $193,152 - $286,311, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary from the University will be determined by the academic responsibilities of the individual hired.
