The Wanderers Club is urgently looking to hire a pantry cook. Responsibilities include reporting to work on time in a clean uniform on scheduled days with proper tools to perform required duties. The cook must be completely responsible for the entire set-up of station mise en place, ensuring freshness and quality of food products. They should communicate to the supervisor any potential problems or concerns at an appropriate time in order to rectify the problem in a timely fashion. The cook must perform job duties in accordance with club policies, procedures, and standards, maintaining the station in a healthy, neat, safe, and clean environment by utilizing proper handling and storage procedures for mise en place. They are responsible for the entire set-up of cold breakfast mise en place and ensuring the freshness and quality of all food products. The cook must be responsible for the food allocated to the station for restaurant and or room service menu, assist in banquet preparation and pickup when requested by the supervisor, and produce the finest quality product with a positive attitude. They should be responsible in assisting any and all colleagues who may be in need of assistance, responsible for proper rotation of food and breakdown of station, inventory and prepare all salad dressings, and responsible for proper usage of equipment in compliance with club rules and regulations. The cook must communicate with coworkers on each shift of any problems or concerns, attend pre-shift where the sous chef conveys any relevant club information, and handle and produce specialty and basic domestic lettuces for the entire kitchen. They should also clean line coolers as well as maintaining clean and orderly coolers and area. The Wanderers Club is an equal opportunity employer.
