Goanna Capital backs category-defining companies from Series A through IPO - our portfolio includes OpenAI, Ramp, Databricks, Rippling, and OpenEvidence. Currently investing out of Fund V. We're hiring an Investor to work directly across deal sourcing, execution and portfolio value creation - embedded in the Bay Area founder and operator ecosystem where many of our companies are built.

What You'll Do

• Prepare market and company research across the tech and AI landscape; synthesize findings into memos, decks, and notes for senior leadership, management teams, and LPs
• Support deal execution: investment memos, financial models, and other materials across our active pipeline
• Own and improve internal tools tracking portfolio performance, customer pipelines, and key relationships
• Work directly with portfolio company leaders to drive customer introductions, BD initiatives, and strategic projects - you'll be in the room, not behind the scenes

What We're Looking For

We're open to a range of backgrounds. You might be an operator or early employee at a high-growth startup, a chief of staff, a consultant from MBB, a banker from a bulge bracket or elite boutique, an investor at a growth or venture fund, or someone technical looking to move into VC. What matters more than your path are your instincts.

• 1–5 years in a role where you've had to operate at a high level - operating, advising, investing, or building
• Comfortable in a room with C-suite executives - you can hold your own and add value
• Strong research instincts - you go beyond the obvious and synthesize quickly
• Fluent in the tools of the job (Excel, PowerPoint), or able to get there fast; PitchBook familiarity a plus
• Genuine interest in technology and AI - you've been following this space and have opinions on it
