Job Duties Possess a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages. Serve drinks and food to bar guests. Observe guests to respond to their needs and ensure total guest satisfaction by serving all items in a friendly and timely manner. Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests and handling an intoxicated guest. Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes. Stock and prepare garnishes for drinks. Maintain an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies. Responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies. Collect payment and operate P.O.S. computer quickly and efficiently. Balance and secure all moneys at the end of shift. Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in clean, company‑approved uniform at all times. Must be able to operate P.O.S. computer, make change correctly, and process credit card transactions. Physical Demands Medium work. Regular lifting, moving, and carrying of food items, furniture, garbage, etc., weighing up to 30 pounds across the restaurant. Regular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant during a 6‑8 hour shift with appropriate breaks. Regular ascending/descending stairs. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent use of hand‑to‑finger motions, handling or feeling objects, reaching with hands and arms. Required Skills Bartending — Advanced Serving — Novice Desired Behaviors Excellent communication skills Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English. Detail‑oriented: Capable of carrying out tasks with all necessary detail to get the task done well. Enthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest. Team Player: Works well as a member of a group. Must be available weekends and holiday season. Education High school or better. Experience Must be able to pass bar training and validation process. 2 years: Bartending or similar role.
