The kitchen teammate is responsible for taking care of the guest with their purchases, inquiries, special requests, and concerns with a kind demeanor. The kitchen teammate is responsible for providing exceptional service that exceeds the guest’s expectations. This role is responsible for completing assigned cleaning tasks in the kitchen and in the salesfloor hot food displays, all while maintaining a consistent positive presence for the guest. This role is responsible for protecting guest information. Rewards, payment, and identification information are included in items that should remain secure. The kitchen teammate is responsible for following all security protocols for guest/team safety. This role is responsible for following all food safety guidelines. This role is also responsible for following all cleaning protocols to ensure a safe food preparation environment. Positive Interaction & Proactive Communication with Staff & Guests The Kitchen Teammate is responsible for positive communication with the team that maintains a supportive working environment. This role is responsible for helping to foster culture in the store that services the guest above and beyond their expectations. The Kitchen Teammate will make every effort to resolve any issues that the customer may encounter. This role is also responsible for maintaining consistent attendance. Advanced communication with their supervisor will be essential if they need to be absent from work during their scheduled time for reasons that are unavoidable. Executing on Brand Standards This role is responsible for executing brand standards developed and communicated by the President, Vice President, and Director of Operations of the Travel Centers and C-Stores. The Kitchen Teammate is responsible for helping to communicate and educate the brand standards to the team and supporting a cohesive culture promoting and adhering to these standards. This role is responsible for upholding the company dress code. Maintaining proper grooming and daily hygiene is expected. Honest. Hardworking. Requirements Must be able to work any area of the kitchen when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Summary The Kitchen Teammate is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleanup of the food items offered at our Fat Dogs Ogallala travel center location.
