Representative - Member Service

Member Service Representative Deliver a unique Member experience to improve Member financial wellbeing by assisting with account transactions, providing REAL Service, and supporting the credit union’s mission. Responsibilities Assist Members with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check-to-cash, and other teller transactions in the lobby and drive‑up environments. Educate Members on digital solutions and identify opportunities to refer needed products and services through conversation. Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with Members and position products to meet their needs. Resolve Member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner; own Member issues through resolution. Escalate Member feedback to management and make Member call‑backs to support Net Promoter efforts. Balance all instruments, including cash, check negotiation, and transaction posting daily. Achieve personal sales goals by cross‑selling platform products such as checking and savings, credit cards, loans, CDs, Money Market, and making partner referrals to insurance, investments, and mortgage. Build and maintain required knowledge of TDECU products and services; utilize systems to stay informed about the Member’s current relationship with TDECU. Educate members on emerging and existing credit union technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings. Participate in community development activities as assigned to support the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Purpose and Values. Complete all mandatory compliance testing on time and implement processes required by the Bank Secrecy Act and TDECU policies and procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent mixture of education and experience (additional training preferred). Previous experience in cash handling, banking, customer service, or hospitality (preferred). Attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers and names in a fast‑paced environment. Strong interpersonal communication, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to speak and write clearly and effectively. Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external members. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently while attending to a broad range of activities. Planning and organization skills; ability to generate new and unique ideas as solutions to operational or member service issues. Proficient with a ten‑key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Availability to work core business hours; Saturday hours are required. Ability to troubleshoot smartphones, tablets, PCs, and assist members with online/mobile banking with completion of TDECU training. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to resolve problems to the satisfaction of the Member. Use feedback for continuous improvement and development. Physical Demands and Work Environment Work environment requires standing, walking, and sitting frequently. Close and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually moderate.
