Location: Ontario, California

The Director of Treasury is responsible for leading all treasury & cash management functions, as well as direct oversight of AP and AR for ALL locations (approximately 15 to 16 locations nationwide) for the private equity-backed GS Foods Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries ("GS Foods" or the "Company") located in Ontario, California. The FP&A Director will provide integral support to the CFO, Sales leaders, Operations leaders, and CEO of GS Foods.


GS Foods is seeking a finance professional to build and lead the analysis function with high-level of exposure across the Company. GS Foods is a leading specialty food distributor serving primarily K-12 schools in addition to other specialized end markets.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Treasury
  • Oversees Daily Cash reporting, consolidation, & distribution to management.
  • Line of Credit analysis & recommendations.
  • Lender & Banking oversight and reporting.
  • Manage monthly budget vs actuals cash reporting and variance analytics for Senior Leadership Team.
  • Overseeing day-to-day cash/banking activities.
  • Preparation & oversight of the 13wk cash forecast model
  • Consolidate, then distribute daily cash reports from locations and assist team with cash forecasting.
  • Work with AR & AP teams on appropriate forecasting of receivables and disbursements weekly.
  • Extensive collaboration with internal departments to improve and automate current financial systems and reporting as it relates to treasury functions.
  • Assist with the integration& consolidation of banking systems.
  • Assist with budgets and forecasts that will help streamline analysis and reporting.
  • Manage and maintain the Capital Expenditures & Capital Lease tracking across all locations of the corporation.
  • Work with the Audit & Tax team on licensing & tax reporting as needed.
  • Corporate credit card program management.
  • Quarterly Covenants with lender/banking.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Work directly with the EVP of Finance and Accounting to ensure efficient and effective customer credit evaluation, payment terms, billing, collections and cash posting processes are implemented across all locations
  • Monitor customer aging balances and provide direction on collection efforts for key aged balances
  • Develop and document standard operating process for the AR cycle
  • Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures.
  • Develop, track and drive improvement in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics across all locations
  • Optimize receivables management to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt.
  • Conduct quarterly review of accounts, identifying bad debt and providing management with collection efforts/status
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance CRM functionality and usability
  • Analyze customer data to generate insights that drive business decisions
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key CRM metrics
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to manage credit-related issues
  • Resolve disputes and discrepancies related to credit accounts and payments
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align CRM processes with business objectives.
Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Work directly with the EVP of Finance& Accounting to ensure efficient and effective vendor credit limits, payment terms, purchase orders, and timely payment processes are implemented across all locations
  • Monitor vendor aging balances and provide direction on resolution efforts for key aged balances
  • Develop and document standard operating process for the AP cycle
  • Develop, track and drive improvement in Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) metrics across all locations
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Annual 1099 Reporting Oversight.
Other Shared Services Activities
  • Work directly with the EVP of Finance and Functional leaders to identify areas to would be best served for the Company to consolidate into the Shared Service Function
  • Develop KPIs and performance expectations for any area that is brought into the Shared Service Function
  • Identify and implement automation and process enhancements for efficiency
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate new technologies and systems.
  • Partner with internal departments such as Procurement, Sales, and Treasury to optimize end-to-end financial processes.
Overall
  • Build and develop high performance teams
  • Ability to identify trends and discern root cause from large sets of data using creative solutions
  • Conduct analysis and data interpretation to be able to explain the "why" behind variances and trends
  • Provide variance analysis and research financial irregularities
  • Provide analysis and assistance where needed with respect to monthly financial close
  • Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Assist with special projects as requested and prepare ad hoc analysis as necessary
  • Ability to work effectively independently and work under deadlines
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
Essential for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required.
  • CPA/ MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related experience
  • ERP system experience, with NAV experience preferred
  • Strong partnership skills and proven financial support of various functions throughout the company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a PE backed environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization
  • Assist other personnel to accomplish tasks from time to time
  • MS Office and other applicable financial software applications; Workday Adaptive a plus
  • Individual should be a power user in excel and have strong experience with pivot tables, matches, and other key formulas
  • Significant experience with three statement models and iterative reference is preferred
Salary Range- $145,000 - $165,000

GS Foods has fourteen distribution facilities nationwide. Intermittent travel (~20%) will be expected in the role. The team will consider a flexible location and allow some work from home after the initial on-boarding.

Work Environment:

Professional office and warehousing/distribution environment. Performance of this position will occasionally require exposure to the warehouse areas where, under certain areas, the use of personal protection equipment will be required. Floors may be wet and slippery when in frozen or refrigerated areas. Primary office environment is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Intermittent travel and full-time office presence are required.
