The Charge Nurse/ Team Leader supervises the delivery of nursing care provided by staff on a designated unit. Care is provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System. The Charge Nurse/ Team Leader coordinates and delegates care utilizing the nursing process. The Charge Nurse is responsible for nursing care activities on a shift basis and for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. This opportunity provides the following:

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Experience: One to three years prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.
