Position Overview

This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong background in outpatient hand therapy. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in splint fabrication for various cases, ranging from post-operative scenarios to acute injuries and chronic conditions.

Schedule

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Qualifications

Active BLS certification
CA OT license required
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, but not required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting

Skills

Experience treating a variety of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses, including:

Post-operative conditions
Acute injuries
Chronic disorders
Workers compensation cases

Expertise in splint fabrication
Proficient in various treatment techniques such as:

Dynamic splints
Functional splints
Soft tissue injury management
Tendon repair and lymphedema management
Myofascial release

Ability to engage with a diverse patient demographic ranging from pre-teens to geriatric individuals

Additional Information

The position involves working with patients who present with a range of diagnoses related to orthopedic conditions. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary support and effective patient education. This role may involve managing complex cases that require comprehensive assessment and tailored treatment plans.
