Field Program Compliance Supervisor

We are hiring a Field Program Compliance Supervisor for one of our clients in Trenton, NJ.

Job Description:

• Assisting the principal rabies control technician in procurement and distribution of rabies vaccines for free rabies vaccine clinics for cats and dogs held by municipalities across New Jersey.
• Inspecting kennels, pet shops, shelters, and pounds across New Jersey and training local health officials in inspection of these licensed animal facilities.
• Providing technical consultations with local health departments on follow up of complaints related to licensed animal facilities.
• Assisting staff within the Office of Veterinary Public Health on necessary follow up or enforcement when licensed animal facilities are not in compliance with state regulations
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills required:

• Previous experience working at a local health department
• Work that involved reviewing regulations, inspecting licensed animal facilities or other operations to ensure compliance
• previous work in an animal setting such as an animal shelter or veterinary office preferred
• The ideal candidate will have communication skills, with an ability to speak with veterinary and public health professionals in addition to the public
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in reviewing regulations and determining if a facility meets requirements,
• Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access databases, and internal systems

Hours required:

• 35 hours per week, lunch: 1 hour unpaid

Additional information:

• Both office and field work - the individual will need to use their personal car for field work.
• Mileage and tolls for inspections and trainings across NJ will be reimbursed.
