Mac Support Specialist

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Mac Support Specialist for our client, a biotech research company in Seattle! This is a contract position based onsite in Seattle, WA.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist with a strong background in supporting MacOS environments . The ideal candidate will have experience working in healthcare, lab, or similar sensitive environments, ensuring the seamless operation of hardware and software while maintaining compliance and security standards. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of managing day-to-day technical support and contributing to the smooth functioning of this innovative research organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day-to-day support in a primarily Mac-based environment, with some Windows support
• Manage and troubleshoot hardware such as printers, lab equipment, and peripherals
• Support user accounts and licenses across platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Office 365
• Handle software and system updates, user onboarding, and password resets
• Contribute to documentation of procedures and common troubleshooting steps

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of IT support experience (healthcare, lab, or pharma environments preferred)
• Heavy Mac support experience
• Familiarity with both macOS and Windows operating systems
• Experience managing licenses, printers, and other peripherals
• Experience with computer security protocols
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive equipment
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively

This is a contract position offering a competitive hourly rate of $28-30/hr (depending on experience).
